Finally I will talk about my blog, if it helped me to learn english, if I had fun doing this or if a get bored.

At the start I don't liked to write in my blog because it was difficult to me, it took me so much time, it cost me, I don't knew how to arm the sentences and the ideas, but with the time and the practice I started to think in english. I mean, I started to arm the ideas in my head with words in english and it became a little more easy.

Then I had problems with the grammar the past, the future, conditional... I knew the differences but when I was writing I forgot to put the ed, will, would, etc... and this problem also was resolved with the practice.

The topics of the post always liked to me, because were introduction for other topics and were related with design or architecture and I was free to give my opinion, make decisions about what topic I write, to choose the topic I like moust and think about things non-academic.

Especially I liked the post of "my favourite song" were I talk about one of the greatest hits of my life, "the best designer" it cost me a lot because I admired so much designers, "my favourite movie" and it was difficil too because I'm a movie fan and "ted.com" I felt identified because my school did not give importance to art music or dance.

In resume I think I learned a lot of english doing this, is a good tool to motivate students. Few teachers dare to use the computers and software and this is the tool more used between the estudents, teachers should speak the "same language" and the comunication would be more fluid. I think blogs are a good mean of comunication.

The colors

In the last class we talked about the colors. The impresion they cause in us and inclusive what color I prefer my partner use. I think the colors influence a lot in the relationships because we had some preconceived interpretations, for example black is sad, or hostile, yellow is joy, pink is tender, etc.

I think red is the color of the passion because we gave this meaning, and socially men gave a positive attribution to women wearing red, using lipstick red or anything red, unconsciously.

In my case I like wearing a lot of colors in the clothes, especially pink, yellow and black, but in my boyfriend I prefer black or white.

Finally in the cuestions say what I think about the colors in the nature, if like to change something and I think the colors in the nature are perfect.

I looked ted.com and saw the video of Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity? And I think, yes they kill the creativity.And I agree with his ideas about the extraordinary evidence of human creativity, we made planes because we have no idea about the future and we study, and the capacity of innovation in children. The kids lost this hability because they are not prepare to being wrong, and if you are not prepare to being wrong you never do something original.

In the school said the things you like you never got a job, you don't be an artist. I pass for this situation, they give more importance to the mathematics or science and stigmatice all kind of art, because you will die of hangry in the future.

But I take the risk and study design because is my passion and I have faith in my capabilities, and I think will find a job in something there I like...I hope

Also I learn don't be afraid to mistakes, in the correction of proyects we have to improvise and probably we wrong but is the only way to innovate.

My Neighbor Totoro

It's very difficult to me choose only one movie that I was enjoyed watching. But if I had do it I choose My Neighbor Totoro because represents a optimistic world where don't exist bad people and the principal don't had a antagonist.

Totoro is a forest spirit that little Mei, and later her older sister Satsuki, encounter in a giant camphor tree near their new home in the countryside. Although their father, a university professor, is with them when they move, their mother is in the hospital, recovering from some unnamed illness. When Mei hears that her mother's condition may be worsening, she resolves to visit her all by herself. When everyone realizes she's missing, only Totoro knows how to find her.

I enjoyed this movie because it's a dream have one neighbor like Totoro, who can fly and had friends like a catbus, who is the transportation of choice for Totoro. NekoBasu's got glowing eyes for headlights, rats for tail lights and furry seats that change size according to the passenger.

I feel identified with the little Mei, when I was a girl my older sister always caried of my and played together.

Relax In Puyehue

I went to Puyehue when I was fifteen.

I went to a hot springs called
"Aguas Calientes" it is a lovely thermal center with its own volcanic activity, located in the Tenth Region of the Lakes, amidst dense forests that are nourished by the area's numerous water basins and rivers.

This place is paradise for those who just want to relax and forget about the stress brought on by daily city life while enjoying nature and fresh air.

I went with my uncle, aunt and cousin for the vacations in winter and this liked too mach that we went in summer later. It was a precious and unforgettable experience, It was the first time that I went to a hot spring.

I went to swim whit my cousin in the pool every morning and afternoon and we had a lot of funny situations to remember.

Also we went to "Antillanca" a ski center located on the hillside of the Casablanca Volcano, close to the hot springs. We don't went to sakiing but we enjoyed of the snow and maked a "war of snowball" and it was very funny. We stayed in there all day.

Every day we went to a different restaurants and we could choose any meal that we wanted.

That was one of the best vacations that I ever had, I would like to go again with the same persons.

Work Of Art

This is a picture of Oswaldo Guayasamín, I saw this for the first time in a exposition by in the "Museo de Bellas Artes" in 2000.

Oswaldo was born in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, on July 6, 1919. He graduated from the School of Fine Art in Quito as painter and sculptor. He carried out his first exhibit when he was 23, in 1942. He achieved in his youth all National Awards, and was credited, in 1952, at the age of 33, the Grand Award of the Biennial of Spain and later the Grand Award of the Biennial of Sao Paulo. His last exhibits were personally inaugurated in the Palace Museum of Luxemberg in Paris, and in the Museo Palais de Glace in Buenos Aires, in 1995.

He died on March 10, 99, when he was 79 years old.

This artist made his pictures inspired in the people, in the suffering and postponement that they felt.

His humanist work, marked as expressionist, reflects the pain and misery that the larger part of humanity has endured, and denounces the violence that every human being has had to live with in this monstrous 20th. century marked by world wars, civil wars, genocide, concentration camps, dictatorships, and tortures.

I like "Mother and Son" particularly this because make me feel tenderness, the way of the mother to protect her son is unmatched, I think i felt identified.

It's special to me because the people that he painted is not beautiful but represents feelings and emotions, and this is so much nice.

This make me evokes tenderness, pain, suffering, sadness and a mix of feelings.

Why is TV scared of horror?

I looked in to the www.guardian.co.uk and I read this new:

'Cactus Kid' ad for Oasis banned for condoning teenage pregnancy

It was banned a campaign for Oasis soft drink (Coca-Cola-owned brand) because it could be interpreted as condoning underage sex and pregnancy.

The ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) ruled that the reference to the woman's pregnancy was "offensive and inappropriate ... and could be interpreted to condone underage sex and teenage pregnancy"

Viewers lodged complaints that the ad broke the advertising code on six different grounds.

A number of viewers complained that one TV ad was scheduled inappropriately because children and young people could see it.

Coca-Cola said that it did not target under-12s and that the ads were not scheduled in or around programmes aimed at children.

It said the TV ads did not "denigrate" water and did not discourage other people from drinking it.

The ad watchdog also said that the advert did suggest that "water was being rejected" and this was "irresponsible and could discourage good dietary practice".

It ordered that the ads should not be shown again in their current form.

Interview

Today I had to interview to three of my classmates, the topic was the MUSIC!!!

This is one of my favourites topics so the conversation was really fun. Also they interview to me, this servs to know each other.

My cuestions was the next:

1. How frecuently do you listen music?

2. In which places do you listen music?

3. When do you listen music in your room?

4. Do you listen music in the subway?

5. What is your favourite music?

6. Who is your favourite musician or group?

7. What is your favourite disc?

8. How many concerts did you went to?

9. What was the concert that did you liked moust?

10. What concert would you like to go to this year?

I realized that the mous of my classemates listen music everday, also they do it in the subway, in their room, and in any place. I saw that the music is part of their life like in my.

Also that they doesn't have one favourite group, all have many favourite groups.

All my interviewees woul like to go to one concert this year, like Madonna's concert in december, to Kusturica's concert in october and Arcangel's concert in october.

I think that the music joins to the people.

Victory City

I was visit the site and this didn't like me totally. I say the site it's fine, it's easy to use this and the information is clear, the graphic is boring but is acceptable, however the proposal didnt't like me.

The city that they propose it's too structured to me, I would like at future the cities will be more organics, I say that the people organize their houses in a natural form.

I believe that the citys would be more heterogeneous and free, because the peolpe it's free and heterogeneous, VC it's homogeneous and seems a jail to me.

Represents a utopic form of life, it remains me the city in the book "Brave New World" from Aldous Huxley, where humanity lives in a carefree, healthy, and technologically advanced society; however, art, science, religion, and all other forms of human expression, as we know, have been replaced to create the "Brave New World".

I think that the utopies repress the form of the people living their lifes.

The Best Designer

The best designer there I know is Charles Eames (June 17, 1907 - August 21, 1978) , he was arquitect and designer and he worked with his whife Ray (December 15, 1912 - August 21, 1988)

I like because I think that his objects of design are perfect and also because he always recogniced Ray`s work.

He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, where he studied architecture at Washington University and later opened an architectural practice.

He proyected many of the objects that are a referent to the designers even today, he is responsible for many classic, iconic designs of the 20th century like the famous Lounge Chair and Ottoman, The Playwood Elefant, The DCW Chair, and the many Plastic arm Chair between others.

At the end of the decade of the 40` Ray and Charles designed their house, know like "Eames House" located at the top of a hill overlooking the ocean, the hause was build with pieces of steel. Today is considered as a masterpiece of modern architecture.

The Eamses pioneered innovative technologies, such as the fiberglass and plastic resin chairs.

They was one of the first designers who worked whith the folded wood and print of intention each material that they worked, the curves and all in his furniture are perfect to me.

One example of their work in wood is The Playwood Elefant, one object proyected to the kids.

The Lounge and Ottoman are my favourite object of design, the mix of material, leather and wood, the curves, the colours and who the body fits in the chair in set whith the ottoman is amazing.

MP3

My favourite piece of tecnology is my mp3. I always wanted one, but i didn't have the money when it arrived in Chile. I had to wait one year approximately to buy one, in october of the last year.

At first I was really happy because this was pink and minimal, but soon after it didn't work. I had to take it and use the guarantee. The salesman said to me that he could change it for one the same or I could pay the diference and take a better one.

The second doesn't like much as the first because it was black, and my favourite color is the pink, but is better and works perfect. This play music, record voices, recognize text, etc. Is very complete. Now I love it!!!

I always use them, every day. When I go to the university, in the bus, in the subway, when I walk, when I read, all the time.

Also I use them when I go in academic visit to factories and I need to remember all that the man in the charge say, I record all what they say and I can respond every question of the questionnaire. It means that this serves to academic purposes too.

I don't know what i do if I lose my mp3, my travels would very boring and I feel lonely!!!

My favourite song

Really I love a lot of songs, its difficult to my choose only one, I feel that I'm betraying to the other groups, in figuratively.

I like too much kind of music. I like the rock, indie, pop, jazz even some classical music, etc. I am a mélomane!!!

I have a lot of favourite groups, included Black Kids, CSS, The Do, Depeche Mode, Coldplay, Madonna, The Desemberist, Los Bunkers, Francisca Valenzuela, only for appoint some of them.

I'm insecure between At Last from The Do and Music is my hot, hot sex from CSS.

I choose this song because always encourage me when I am sad. Also when I want to dance and it make me remember good times. I listening for the first time the last summer.

This group like's me because they are brazilian but they sing in inglish, I think that the were americans until I read this in internet, in this song there is a part in portuguese.

I hope that you like this song and maybe some day we can dance this together.

BBC Learning

I visit the site after my classemates inforsme that, this confused me at the start, too much information at the same place apparently.

But then I start to explore this and I think it is really frendly and didactic. The first experiences always deceive.

They post stories, music and picture, this make the site interesting because I take new information from other places and his culture.

Explains bout the words in the news, this helps to understand the way that the announce the important things in a specific form.

I never visit a site like this, help with the vocabulary and the grammar, they have quizzes and exams to practice without evaluations!!!

Helps with thw pronunciation and connect with people from other countries, this is good because I can share experiences and know new people.

I think interesting that this kind of companies regard about this items, always are worried about news and stuffs of business, is nice they demostrated concern for other things.

In conclusion I appreciated this kind of iniciative and I like to know much other like this.
